"Tickets were fair"
I grabbed our tickets online, the price was better than I expected. I was already feeling mentally drained that day, so I really appreciated that checkout was simple and didn’t hit me with any weird extra fees. For a full day out, it felt worth it.

"Not the best spot for little kids"
The crowds were a bit much for our little ones, and they got tired quickly. To be fair, it might be better for older kids or if you go at a quieter time, but it wasn’t the easiest experience for us

"Nice Shade, Decent Seating"
There was plenty of shade, which made it a lot more comfortable to hang out for a while. The seating was okay, not amazing, but definitely fine for what we needed. I’d say it’s worth checking out if shade is something you’re looking for

We went to Boo at the Zoo and then came back for Holiday Lights, both were super easy to book. The kids had a blast with the shows, and it made for a solid day out. Definitely a fun little outing, no stress, just good vibes

"Food prices weren’t as scary as I expected"
I went to the Bronx Zoo and was bracing myself for crazy food prices, since places like that can really catch you off guard if you’re not careful. But the prices were actually reasonable for a zoo, and the portions were decent too. We grabbed some snacks and drinks, and I didn’t walk away feeling like I’d made a bad spending decision. It’s still not cheap-cheap, but compared to other attractions, it felt fair. Definitely a nice surprise.

"Really well-kept habitats"
I noticed the habitats right away. Clean areas, plenty of shade, animals not all cramped together. Just felt cared for. We walked around for a while and kept saying how nice it looked. Loved it.

I didn’t realize they had that many animals there. Saw big cats, birds, reptiles, monkeys, all kinds of stuff. Fun place to walk around for a while.

"Pretty easy to get around"
We found our way around the Bronx Zoo without too much trouble. The layout made sense for the most part, and checking the map on the website beforehand definitely helped us plan... or at least feel like we had a plan. A couple of paths got a little confusing once we were inside, but the signs were mostly helpful. Overall it was an easy day, just had to double back once or twice

Booked the stroller and wheelchair online, and pickup was super quick. It saved us sooo much walking lol. Definitely made the day way easier

"Exhibits looked really well kept"
I went to the Bronx Zoo last weekend, and one of the first things I noticed was how well cared for the exhibits looked.
The paths were clean, the viewing areas were easy to use, and I saw staff around checking on things and fixing little stuff as they went. None of the animal areas felt messy or forgotten, if that makes sense.
It made the whole visit feel more relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell they stay on top of maintenance, and I really appreciated that...

"Support actually did the right thing"
I had a quick question about my order and their support team got back to me faster than I expected. They were helpful, straightforward, and didn’t make me jump through a bunch of unnecessary hoops, which I really appreciate. It’s how customer service should be handled. Made me feel a lot more comfortable ordering from bronxzoo, and I’d definitely use them again

"Train was simple, even for someone who usually drives"
I’ll admit I’m usually loyal to driving myself places, mostly because I like having my own car and not depending on train schedules. But getting here by public transit was easier than I expected. I took the 2 train to Pelham Pkwy and walked from there, and the signs were clear enough that I never really felt lost.

The only reason I’m going with 4 stars is that the walk back to the station felt a little long after spending the whole day inside. Still, as much as I hate to say it as someone who usually prefers driving, it was definitely better than dealing with parking.

I liked the animal facts overall, especially the little details about where the animals live and what they eat. The conservation pages were useful too, but they felt a bit basic and could’ve used a little more depth or real-world examples

"The staff REALLY knew their stuff"
We had such a great visit, mostly because the staff were so helpful. I asked a bunch of random questions about the animals, and they answered everything like they genuinely knew and cared, not like they were just repeating a script. It made the whole day way more fun for us. Would DEFINITELY go back again.

I might just be a little picky about this kind of thing, but the grounds looked really clean to me. The walkways were clear, and I don’t remember seeing any trash anywhere we went
